ACE Life
Russell G. Bundschuh joined ACE in November 2010 to lead the company’s global life insurance and life reinsurance operations.
ACE Life provides traditional protection and savings products in more than 20 countries in Asia, Latin America and the Middle East, through a variety of distribution channels including agency, bancassurance, worksite marketing, brokers and telemarketing through affinity groups. On the reinsurance side, ACE Tempest Life Re provides risk and capital management solutions to primary life insurers around the globe.
Prior to ACE, Mr. Bundschuh was Executive Vice President and CEO of the Asia sub-region for New York Life’s International business. From 2007 to 2009, he served as Chief Operating Officer for New York Life International, responsible for several functions across nine countries in Asia and Latin America. He joined New York Life in 2004 as First Vice President of Corporate Development. Previously, Mr. Bundschuh had a 10-year career with McKinsey & Company, where he was a Partner and leader of the firm’s Services Strategy and Operations practice. Prior to McKinsey, he spent four years with IBM’s Marketing & Sales division in New York, where he sold and supported large systems implementations to insurance clients.
Mr. Bundschuh holds undergraduate degrees in Geophysical Engineering and Electrical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, and earned an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds the FLMI professional designation.
