Evan Greenberg Discusses U.S. Debt, Fiscal Cliff Crises on CNBC
ACE Chairman and CEO Evan Greenberg appeared on CNBC on November 28 to discuss the U.S. “fiscal cliff” and debt crises.
In the interview on the New York Stock Exchange floor, Mr. Greenberg described the urgent need for a balanced approach, including both spending cuts and revenue increases, and called for the country’s political leadership to “address comprehensive long-term solutions.
“We have to have more certainty for business. We want to get the economy going. We want to create jobs,” he said. “I’m here speaking as an American, not simply as a CEO. If you care about your country, we have to stop kicking the can down the road.”
Mr. Greenberg is one of 80 CEOs who have joined the Campaign to Fix the Debt to encourage Congress to address the country’s short and long term fiscal challenges.
